I am having huge trouble refitting the sump of my SP250 to the engine installed in the chassis. There does not seem to be enough clearance between the nearside engine support, the front chassis cross member and the sump dip stick pipe to reposition the sump. I cannot believe that Daimler would have designed an engine which had to be removed from the chassis in order to replace a sump so I must be doing something wrong. Any constructive advice would be gratefully received.
