My softtop (vinyl ) has never fitted properly so I thought I would treat the car to a mohair replacement.

I spotted a company called Don Trimming based in Erdington near Birmingham, and as it is local I thought I might give them a whirl……..has anyone used them, and happy to offer any feedback or advice ?

I dont intend to fit it myself as I have seen so many folk try and wish they hadnt!

I should have followed up on this post long ago , but I can tell you all that Don Trimming based in Erdington ( Brum) were great

They fitted a new Burgundy mohair top and matching cover that fits beautifully.

They advised me to leave they hood up for a few weeks to stretch it , and the only additional work I did was to install some pipe insulation foam over the central rail as the hood “flapped “ at around 40 but disappeared around 50.

To remove the old and fit the new in their workshop took 2 days.

I’ve used Don Trimmings too. They made a full tonneau cover for me. I my SP. I gave them the car for the day, so they could get the fit just right (rather then getting a kit & trying to do it myself).

I’m very happy with the result
