I’ve never had the correct gear lever knob for my SP; I used various Daimler branded aftermarket versions, given that I’ve never seen an original for sale.
It occured to me recently that I could have a go at 3D print a more authentic looking knob. I believe the original was essentially a pair of back-to-back cones moulded in hard rubber, presumably with a threaded metal insert (?)
Could anyone confirm, please. If possible, I’d be really grateful for a photoghraph of an original gear knob, with a ruler held alongside.
