Change the differential or overdrive?

I am into improvements now the car is about as good as it get
, and my thoughts are the next stage is to gain that 5th gear .

Thought about the obvious ( overdrive), but might swapping the differential to help reduce the revs for more speed be a simpler alternative?

I have the triumph overdrive on mine. Easy and works well

On my healey 100/4; with overdrive I changed the diff for better cruising . Also a huge success

I do know some owners who have successfully changed the differential, although it will marginally reduce the acceleration. Personally, I have gone down the overdrive route and would thoroughly recommend it – one of the best enhancements you can do to improve driveability.
