I have had advice that suggests i should be using around a 73ah 680 en for the SP250 which is pretty much what your Yuasa spec battery is. I think I am swinging much more to the modern equivalent options based on price and warranty periods of up to 5 years.
It’s all about dimensions of the battery bay now for the higher spec battery, considering a Varta E11 or E38 or Banner P7412 all of which are 278 mm long which i am sure there is plenty enough room for. I still run a dynamo which is still pushing a decent charge out albeit at over 2000 rpm. I also run a smart charger for maintenance charging, in fact it was the smart charger that started to complain and error that bought me to run further test the battery and conclude i need a new one.
