SP250s CARS FOR SALE
FOR SALE BY AUCTION – SPICERS
On JULY 6TH 2019
80 PKN, a B spec car was originally registered on the 1st July 1961 to David Hatchings of Brighton, before selling it to Leonard Province of Ashford on the 16th November 1962, he in turn sold it to Alan Swayne of Southall in Middlesex in March 1970, this is where our knowledge of it comes in as our vendors friend, Neal Brenner of Wallsend on Tyne, had been searching for one for a period of time and on the 13th November 1970 went down South and bought her. He sold her two years later to Edwin Saint of Whitley Bay and our vendor bought it from him in 2005.
It has had several improvements over the years including a rack and pinion steering, servo brakes, electronic ignition and an electric cooling fan. It also has wider Police spec wheels fitted. The exterior appears original and there is some colour fade, the interior is original except for the driver’s seat and carpet, there is a new hood (unfitted), tonneau and hood bag with the car.
The old MOT’s show a mileage of 22,271 in 1972, 33,838 in 1974, 34,000 in 1986, 34,002 in 2001, 34,038 in 2012 and the last one was in 2017 at 34,296. The sills were replaced in 2016 and the brakes fully overhauled in 2010.
Sold with the V5C, old V5C, V5, R.F. 60, the above mentioned MOT’s, and sundry receipts, she started easily when the catalogued visited and is only being sold as a Triumph Roadster project has been bought.
Estimate – £28,000/£32,000

SP250s PARTS WANTED
WANTED: Pair of cylinder heads.
I am looking for a pair of cylinder heads in good enough condition for restoration to first class condition.
My existing cylinder heads have been skimmed too much (many years ago) and have too much porosity in the wrong places. They could of course be recovered with a great deal of work, but would probably never be really good enough.
