I do trust you admire the dynamic stylishness of this newsletter, it has taken a little while (needed support from my in-house IT help desk – youngest daughter) and at last I am pleased with it. The font I rather like and to compete the new look, a new email address befitting our needs. The old newsletter started life as an aide-memoire, sent by post, to the local 30 or so Essex members when meetings or local activities were taking place. However, in like manner with Pinocchio’s nose it grew, by word of mouth, being forwarded or requested and it is now sent on a global basis via the internet to close on 900 owners.
The local members are not forgotten they still get the newsletter and a reminder.

Maine based Barry Flynn was a great friend of John Carey who suppled a number of parts for his rebuilds and John daimlerusa@yahoo.com 978-356-4745 is still suppling spares for SP owners on a global basis.
I do believe that during his lifetime Barry owned at least 2 if not 3 SPs and was an early enthusiastic supporter of pasSPort, the global owners’ handbook.

Did you realise thus far, the government in this country has ‘donated’ on our behalf close to £200 million to Elon Musk’s Telsa Company in subsidies, for what? No one seems to know or care. However, as always it is the taxpayer who pays, do remember Governments don’t have any money…only ours. I wonder how much more inducements (waste of monies) have been paid to other EV manufacturers.
